Punch list app
Create and close punch-list items from the site conversation
Convoe can turn a written punch item into a generic task with an owner, due date, priority and status. It does not yet provide a dedicated punch-list register or photo close-out workflow.
What goes wrong without a record
The conversation moves faster than the administration.
Punch work drifts when items are spread across messages, spreadsheets and walkthrough notes without one visible owner.
- Walkthrough notes are not assigned
- Several trades receive the same vague list
- Due dates are implied
- A task marked done is treated as inspected and accepted
How Convoe handles it
From source conversation to reviewable work.
Write
Record one clear punch item per message or task suggestion.
Assign
Confirm the responsible person and due date.
Track
Use status and the commitments dashboard to keep open items visible.
Inspect
Complete the project’s separate inspection and acceptance process before close-out.
Practical outcome
What this workflow improves today.
- 01One accountable owner per item
- 02Due dates are visible
- 03Open punch work stays on the dashboard
- 04Completion and acceptance remain distinct
Common questions
What the workflow does—and what still needs a person.
What is a punch list?+
A punch list is a list of incomplete, defective or corrective work identified near completion, commonly used in North American construction terminology.
Is a punch item the same as a defect?+
They can overlap, but terminology and project procedures differ. Define the record type your team will use.
Does marking a Convoe task done approve the work?+
No. Task status does not replace inspection, contractual acceptance or quality approval.
